GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART)

Proficiency in advanced rescue techniques is crucial for safe and efficient wind turbine operations. The towering structures and intricate designs of wind turbines present unique challenges even for seasoned professionals. Recognizing this need, the North American Wind Academy offers GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART), an advanced program tailored for those who aim to stand out in their field by being adept in advanced rescue operations, especially within the confines of a Wind Turbine Generator (WTG).

Course Duration: 4 Days

Certificate validity (months): 24

Revalidation: The course must be revalidated every 2 years.

Prerequisite:  Must be GWO BST certified prior to completing this training course

Items to bring: Government Issued Photographic ID e.g. Driver License or Passport, and safety work boots.

Language: Training available in English/ Spanish.

 

Completing this course will allow you to:
  • Safely access the hub, spinner, inside blade, nacelle, tower, and basement section of a wind turbine to get to an injured person
  • Perform entry-type casualty rescue operations in a wind turbine generator.
  • Correctly use industry standards, rescue equipment, and methods
  • Understand and demonstrate rescue techniques that exceed those of GWO Working at Height
